I am ever grateful to have known this amazing man the last years of his life. His clinics and conversations with him were amazing and I feel so blessed. Most of all, I was at one of his last testing clinics, tested in front of this incredible master and received my black belt. My sincere condolances to all that knew him and respected him. Special condolances to his family. God bless the memory of Master Hidetaka Nishiyama. OSS!

Henry Bargas: Honoring A Master

I am a 5th degree blackbelt under Ray Meiers, from the Daichi Karate Association, in Amarillo, Texas, and Master Box, from the Hana Daichi Karate Association from Colorado, who is also with the San Ten Karate Association, I am from Amarillo, Texas, and I am deeply saddened by his passing, I have trying to make it to California for the Annual San Ten Summer Workshops, and now will never get to see Master Nishiyama, but I am honored to pass on the knowledge I have learned from Ray Meiers and hope to meet Master Vincent Cruz to continue the traditional Shotokan karate to our students here in Amarillo, Texas. Please send my condolences to his family and students. Sincerely, Henry Bargas, Amarillo, Texas.

Seamus: Rest Well, Nishiyama Sensei

I was fortunate to get to train with Nishiyama Sensei at his dojo a few years ago. In fact, I travelled from Ireland to Los Angeles specifically to get to train with him, such was his reputation. He was an incredible karate-ka, and an inspiration to millions. The karate world is poorer without him, but so much richer for having had him.
